Today was Heather & Basim's BIG wedding day...& it was fabulous!!! They decided to "tie-the-not" @ Wilmington College where they met years ago...The Wilmington College Farm was a FUN & laid-back venue for a wedding, which was the exact atmosphere that Heather & Basim were looking for to celebrate their very special day. It was unfortunate that it began to rain during the outdoor ceremony because we did not have a tent to sit under...but since Heather was such a breath-takingly beautiful-bride that rain was hardly even noticeable:-) After the ceremony, we all headed inside the "barn" area to enjoy the afternoon reception!!! My "job" at the reception was to take a picture of every-single person that attended the celebration in order to create a "Picture Guest-Book" for them to always remember their very special day:-) While I was busy taking pictures all afternoon, Benjamin & Brady had a blast hanging out with all of daddy's side of the family, especially Andy:-) Congratulations to Heather & Basim...May your life together be filled with; love, laughter & Happiness!!!

Landen King Turns 5!!!
Tonight was Ben's Soccer & Football buddy's 5th birthday party...& everyone's surprise (haha) the theme of his party was "SPORTS":-) Since Brian was out of town for work this weekend, it was just myself & the boys for the night...Patsy, Landen's mom, did such a fabulous job with his party!!! The food was beyond fantastic, thanks to Landen's grandma, we all enjoyed delicious Thai food that she made with fresh vegetables strait from her garden. YUMMY!!! After we ate dinner, the boys had a blast jumping around in the huge "Sports Bounce-House" that they rented for the party tonight. After jumping for hours & hours, the kids all got to take a turn @ the basketball pinata!!! The party was so much FUN for both the kiddos as well as the parents...we had a fantastic night:-)

Happy Birthday Grandpa Mayer:-)
Since last night was a birthday dinner focused on Grandma Mayer's birthday, today was Grandpa Mayer's turn to celebrate his special day too!!! Grandma's birthday is May 10th & Grandpa's birthday is May 11th...It is so cute & perfect that out of 365 days in the whole year, their birthdays fall on back-to-back days in the month of May:-) Brian, Ben, Brady & I decided to take special "birthday cupcakes" to Grandpa's classroom @ Centerville High School this afternoon. The surprise was a success & we Brian & I had a great time visiting with many of our old-teachers (Mrs. Guntle in particular) from when we were students @ CHS...
Sleeping Brady:-)
My sneaky little guy Brady, was trying to pretend that he was asleep tonight when I went into his room to check-on him. It took every ounce of strength I had in me to not laugh hysterically at him! The BEST part was that he really thought he had tricked me:-) I love my ornery little Brady-Boys!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Mayer!!!
After Ben's soccer game tonight, Uncle Scott & Candace came with us to meet Grandma & Grandpa Mayer @ Skyline Chili to celebrate Grandma's birthday. We all had a fabulous time spending the evening with our family:-)
Ben's Mud-Pit Soccer Game!!!
Grandma, Grandpa, Ben, Scott, Candace & Daddy!!!
Well, for the 1st time in almost 2-weeks, Ben finally had a soccer game tonight that was not cancelled!!! We have had day-after-day-after-day of pouring rain & thunderstorms for the past 6-weeks & counting...So, needless to say, although Ben & his little teammates were elated to get back on the soccer field tonight, mommy will be paying for it & working hard in the laundry-room tomorrow:-) I have to add that...my little man scored 8-Goals tonight, he is definitely "Brian Jr." on the soccer field:-) Way to go Buddy, Daddy & I are so proud of you!!!
Primary Village South Kindergarten Screening...
I can't believe it...my 1st born completed his kindergarten screening process this morning for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year!!! YIKES!!! It is so unreal that my tiny-little Benjamin is officially old enough to start in a "real" school, in a "real" classroom, with a "real" teacher & riding a "real" yellow school-bus everyday for the next 18 years of his little-life. So, I am trying to prepare myself for the reality of what is in-store for us this August...in only a few short months Ben will be climbing-up the huge bus steps & waving "good-bye" to me as he starts a brand-new exciting chapter in his life...a chapter where for the very 1st-time mommy will no-longer be needed every minute of every day anymore:-( Wow, as every other mom that I have ever known has always said to be true...it is unbelievable how quickly time goes-bye & how incredibly fast our children grow-up right before our eyes.
